Posting History (30)

I liked the suggestion you had in an earlier post about icing the P2 out

If the rest of the non-P2 schools refuse to play any of the P2, they'll have no choice but to only play each other which will kill national interest in those conferences. I don't know if that could ever happen, but it seems like a great idea to mitigate what they are trying to do to everyone else outside of the P2.

I keep trying to figure out who exactly are the ACC's top dogs

FSU and Clemson are probably a given and I see UNC's name mentioned a lot but other than that, I just don't see another school that fits neatly into that category. Miami gets mentioned occasionally, but for the life of me I can't figure out how relevant they are these days (very low attendance, no on-campus football stadium, mediocre results for the past two decades, etc.). Beyond that.....it's hard for anyone else to feel secure and it's a virtual certainty that a few others (BC, Wake, Syracuse) are done for as far as big-time football goes once the ACC breaks up.

I visited a good friend who lived in Pritchard Hall during the fall of 1998

I attended my first game at VT that weekend, though you aren't going to want me to mention who the opponent was (not UVA). In any case, what a blast it was and Pritchard Hall was a real experience. I'd never seen so much activity going on in one single dorm facility. Is it still around? Still all-male? ** Edited by UVa 2002 at 10/10/2022, 3:32:03 PM
